Itinerary
Mandalay – Amarapura – Ava – Sagaing
Start off your trip to Amarapura, a township of Mandalay bounded by the Irrawaddy River in the west. Upon arrival, you will visit Mahar Gandaryone Monastery located near the famous U Bein Bridge, considered as one of the largest teaching monasteries for the young monks in Myanmar.
In the afternoon, we take a boat trip to Ava (Innwa) which is located on an island between Ayeyarwaddy and Myitnge River. On arrival in Ava, we go onshore then visit Nanmyint Watch Tower, The Maha Aung Mye Bonzan, Bagaya Monastery, lacquerware industry, Yadana Hsimi Pagoda and Inwa Bridge by horse cart. Later on, we proceed to Sagaing and visit U Min Thonze, one of the most distinctive complexes on the main hilltop of Sagaing, comprising 45 beautiful gilded Buddha images in a crescent-shaped colonnade. Continue to Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda and watch the sunset from Sagaing Hill.
